I started my career in a small design agency, working on rebrands and websites for local businesses. While it gave me a solid foundation, the work quickly became repetitive, which pushed me to London, where I joined Loot as a founding product designer. At Loot, I was both the sole designer and part of the founding team, leading all design work from scratch while helping scale the business from five to 80 people and 250,000 users. Over four years, I grew the design team to five, yet remained a hands-on IC, designing across iOS, Android, and web, shipping critical features like ID verification, budgeting tools, and bill-splitting.
Following Loot’s acquisition by NatWest, I became Head of Product Design across their innovation brands, Bó and Mettle. Although I grew and restructured the design team to six, I kept myself embedded as an active IC, leading redesigns of core onboarding and KYC flows, improving conversion rates, and implementing the company’s first design system. I also established their research function from scratch, ensuring insights directly fed into my own design work and the broader product teams.
At Xapo Bank, I scaled up to leading a global team of 15 designers and researchers, but again chose to stay close to the craft. I personally led the UX & UI design for major features like Lightning Network payments, bitcoin interest accounts, and card controls, while simultaneously managing the team and driving design strategy globally. I also implemented an atomic design system and spearheaded the rebrand of Xapo from crypto exchange to private digital bank, while conducting research across 15+ countries.
At Zero, I joined as VP of Design, once more taking on dual responsibilities—owning the entire product and design function while being the sole IC designer for the first 12 months. I led all research, UX, and UI design, building the MVP from the ground up while the company raised funding and grew to a 5,000-strong waiting list. Even as I grew the team to five, I continued to design key features, prototypes, and user flows myself.
At SuperFi, I co-founded the company and led the product and design function, yet designed every element of the experience personally, from the open banking app to the tokenised rewards system and DeFi staking protocol. I built the team to eight high performers but stayed hands-on, ensuring I remained close to our users while delivering an amitious roadmap, securing $1M+ in funding, and achieving product-market fit.
Alongside my leadership roles, I’ve always kept my design skills sharp through consulting work for fintechs like Nude (Tembo), Coinrule, and Earnr, where I’ve delivered end-to-end design on products like crypto trading platforms, savings apps, and NFT marketplaces.
